The Carpentras strawberry has been a registered trademark since 1987. Three varieties are grown around Carpentras in the Comtat Venaissin plain: Pajaro, Ciflorette and Gariguette. It arrives with the first fine days on the shelves, full of color and flavor.

A veritable institution, the Carpentras Truffle Market is held every Friday morning from mid-November to the end of March, in the Cour d’Honneur of the Hôtel Dieu de Carpentras, Place Aristide Briand.
Cavaillon melons are a well-known specialty, best represented by the Cantaloup melon. The fruit was cultivated very early in Cavaillon’s history, after its introduction to France in 1495.
