Caving - Leisure Vaucluse
Caving - Plateau d'Albion - Vaucluse
Discover the subterranean world and experience the thrill of immersing yourself in the history of the Earth.
The adventure isn't as tough as it looks.
Introduce yourself to caving on the Plateau d’Albion, one of the most important karstic massifs in France. In fact, the Plateau d’Albion offers over 1100 km2 of surface area, 450 inventoried caves, the deepest of which goes down to -980 meters, and above all, you can discover a unique exsurgence: Fontaine de Vaucluse.
You’ll wander along the Sorgues underground path, progressing on ropes through shafts and galleries. Potholing is a fun and sporting way to learn about geological phenomena, tackle the issue of water in a karstic massif and understand how the Fontaine du Vaucluse works.
