Rooted in the ancient bed of the Rhône, Clos Saint Michel’s new vines protrude from a sea of round, blond pebbles. The heart of the estate, the bastide has not aged a day. For almost a century, it has brought cultures and inhabitants together in a reassuring embrace. Olivier and Franck, who represent the fourth generation of winegrowers on these lands, deeply appreciate the close union between
the vines and the cellars they have restored.
Their spirit, their energy, their care can thus accompany each vine, but also each vat, then each barrel, in its daily transformations.

TRADITION BLANC du Clos Saint Michel
NAME: Châteauneuf-du-Pape white
GRAPE VARIETIES: grenache 30%, clairette 30%, roussanne 20%, bourboulenc 20%.
PRODUCTION: 8,000 bottles
LOCATION
The white wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape are the flagship of white wines in southern France. Since 1991, Le Clos Saint-Michel has been successfully producing its Châteauneuf du-Pape blanc, collecting medals in Paris and Orange.
A blending wine par excellence, it is vinified at low temperature in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for 3 weeks, then aged for 6 months before bottling.
CHARACTERISTICS
Half of this wine is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for freshness, finesse, fruit and minerality, and in barrels for fullness and roundness. It is then aged for 8 to 10 months in barrels and vats before bottling. A great wine that deserves its awards. It can be enjoyed within a year of production, but will benefit from ageing for five years or more. Structured, powerful and fruity at the same time. It combines aromas of toast, beeswax and white fruits. It goes well with fish, white meats, Mediterranean cuisine (tuna à la
provençale, cold ratatouille) and certain goat’s cheeses.
